The basis of this work in Artist/Don Quixote is plastic waste, packaging of products, which we dispose of unnoticed. All motives from the installation BILDLEXIKON (Installation with approx. 400 Motiven, Neuer Kunstverein Aschaffenburg), from the video RITTER DER GESTALT and from the collage LANDSCHAFT MIT KÜHEN (Collage, 2003-2018, Neuer Kunstverein Aschaffenburg) come from there.

All these representations are subject to a romanticization. We wish for small medieval villages with happy, hand-milked cows and goats on meadows in front of houses in the middle of a charming, intact nature, just as Don Quixote wishes for reality as an idealized world of knights and believes in this illusion. An essential topic of the work is the difference between illusion and reality.
